About Tree

Theresa Markham, J.D., Certified Divorce Financial Analyst(r), Financial Advisor

After my careers as a Wall Street lawyer, divorce attorney, and full-time homemaker/homeschooler/volunteer, I chose a profession that uses those very experiences, talents and skills to serve the families – as a Financial Advisor.

It combines my love of helping people advance and grow, my addiction to numbers, and my talent for finding creative solutions.

I love coming alongside families and helping them get to their next wealth-building goal. I love watching small business owners keep more of their hard-earned money.

Being a well-rounded Financial Advisor means that my clients and I can talk candidly about the many areas that money influences – income, small business ownership, money management, spending on lifestyle & child-raising, savings plans, 401(k) decisions, large purchases, college/weddings/grandchildren, investment management, financial planning, etc.

My goal is to Build Financially Strong Families – and thereby, make my community and the next generation stronger.

A financially strong family builds and strengthens the community. And, this in turn hopefully produces a more productive and wiser next generation whose work-ethic and sense of personal responsibility provide additional opportunities and freedom for an even wider circle.

When I’m not working, I can be found doing my favorite hobbies – hanging out with my husband Chuck (and our kids and grandkids), reading, researching history, gardening, baking, playing piano, solving logic problems, tutoring students in math – or, starting a new project.

This Spring’s project is the garden – prepping the soil and starting some of the garden plants from seed – so that some plants have a jump-start on our short-ish 6A growing season. Our “last frost date” is somewhere between May 10th to May 20th, but the locals know that it’s a waste of time and money to plant before Memorial Day Weekend. But, now the radish seeds might get started in the cold, muddy soil of early May.

If you’d like to talk to a Financial Advisor who is a 3-dimensional person and who can relate to you as a whole, 3-dimensional person with a family, active lifestyle, busy work days, interests and dreams, and you want your finances to keep up with you, then let’s talk about it over a cup of coffee.
